John E. Siers is a developer, database designer, and client account executive for a web-based application solution provider based on Long Island. He is an Air Force veteran, and currently lives near Memphis, Tennessee with his wife, son, three cats, and a dog. John has been writing science fiction for over twenty years; but The Moon and Beyond (November 2012) was his first published novel, and the first book in the Lunar Free State series. The book was a finalist for the 2014 Darrell Award for Best SF/Fantasy Novel by a MidSouth Author.
The second novel in the series, Someday the Stars, was published in May, 2013, and won the 2014 Darrell Award for Best SF/Fantasy Novel by a MidSouth Author, presented at MidSouthCon, the Memphis-area Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Gaming convention.
The third book in the series, Valkyrie’s Daughter was published in July of 2014 and has been nominated for the 2015 Darrell Award. John is currently working on his fourth novel, tentatively titled In the Service of Luna.
